Current Project: Striped Cotton Cowl

I know it's only a couple of weeks until it's officially summer and this is not the time to think of cowl (here in Italy it's so hot, I cannot think what it will be like in August!!), but...

I had two skeins of cotton in a delicate beige color. Last year I tried to make a crocheted puff-stitch bag, but the project was frogged after a couple of weeks. So these two skeins were waiting to be used... and here I am, knitting a Striped Cotton Cowl.

I am quite satisfied with this project: even though I have little knowlege of how to knit, this cowl is sooo easy to knit and it's coming out pretty good. The tricky part will come when I'll have to cut all the tails of colored cotton that now keep hanging from the cowl... but it's not the time to worry about it know, I still have half of the cowl to knit!

Crochet is my passion, but I found myself appreciating knitting a lot more: when the stitches are always the same (and very basic!) it's such a relaxing activity to do, even when watching a movie (now that I learned how to do I do not always look at the stitches I make, it has become authomatic).

Plus, I stumbled upon this post about life and knitting, very inspiring!

Have a nice day!
